MerchCarnival

I had the pleasure of collaborating with a brand called ‘MerchCarnival’ even though my blog is about three months new, so I wanted to share a little information about them with you guys.

Especially because some of my followers are also from the Caribbean and may be interested in supporting a company that is all about the Caribbean and it’s culture etc.

About MerchCarnival

Here is a detailed description from their website, “Established in 2014, MerchCarnival is an online shopping experience that connects fans to the Caribbean culture and Carnival experience that they love.

We provide various services that help upcoming and boutique brands showcase and promote their products. We are a growing online hub where Caribbean brands and consumers can connect. Our company is based in Atlanta”.

In addition to producing their own merchandise, MerchCarnival also features products from other Caribbean designers.

My Review

My first impression of their clothing was the quality looked nice and lightweight! Wearing clothes especially black, in the tropics can be a death sentence.

The feel of the material was nice and soft unlike most of my t-shirts and comfy. I had on the shirt for hours and it was super breathable!

I also like that on their website, they feature reviews, so a potential customer would not have to be googling reviews of their clothes and therefore, before your purchase you would be able to grasp what kind of customer service you would receive.

As some of you may know, I am from Barbados which is a small island in the Caribbean. So any chance to rep the Caribbean I’m all for it!

From the time we met until now MerchCarnival has been very professional. Upon receiving my “Unapologetically Caribbean” shirt I realised they had even added their social media on the tag. Which I found was pretty smart!

At the end of the day, everyone loves to gloat about where they are from or their heritage, so why not have it on cool clothing for everyone to see?

A little Story Behind The Photoshoot

My photographer/boyfriend and I had locations in mind to take the shoot, one of those locations is called Codrington College which has nice trees and is just a lovely place overall.

Location: Codrington College

But as soon as we got there, we were instructed that we had to obtain permission to take pictures first. So after that mini road trip, we decided to call it a day as our stomachs got the better of us.

It was a very good day overall, despite not being able to take pictures at Codrington College.
